What are cookies?

This website uses a number of strictly necessary (functional) cookies. Without these cookies, the site does not work properly. No permission is required.
- WordPress session cookies: only logged in administrators. Visitors without an account do not see them.
- Contact form cookie: In case of a validation error, filled fields are temporarily stored (max. 10 minutes) so that they do not need to be refilled.
Analytical cookies
This website measures visits with its own server hosted statistics system (Altena Stats). These cookies become placed only after you clicked on the cookie banner on . . . .If you refuse, or you don’t make a choice, nothing will be measured.
- altena_consent: remember your choice in the cookie banner (preservation period: 180 days).
- altena_stats_sid: a random session feature to group page views within one visit (falls after 30 minutes of inactivity).
On a measured visit we will put the page views, the origin (the previous website), the device and browser type and the IP Address We use the IP address to determine the approximate location (country, region, city) and the internet provider via the external service ip-api.com. This data remains on our own server and is not resold or used for advertisements. More about this is in the Privacy notice.
Tracking and marketing
No ad cookies or social media pixels will be placed on this website, and your data will not be used to build or resell profiles.
Third party cookies
When viewing the site, fonts can be loaded via Google Fonts. Google does not place cookies. However, the visitor can cache a font file in the browser.
