What is a web application?
A web application is software that runs in the browser: you log on via an address, you don’t have to install anything and everyone always works in the same version. Think of a planning system, a customer portal, a dashboard or a complete subscription platform.
The difference with a website is that you use it instead of reading it. A website shows information; a web application processes data, knows users, keeps a status and does something for you while you sleep.
