What data is being processed?

The following data are processed via the contact form on this website:

  • Name
  • Email address
  • Subject and content of the message
  • Technical data: IP address, browser/user agent, time of submission

Appointment requests

When you request a (Teams) appointment via the website, we process your name, company name, email address, possibly telephone number, the subject and the chosen time. In addition, we set the IP address and time for spam security. We use this data only to assess, confirm and execute the appointment.

Visitor statistics

With your consent (via the cookie banner) we measure how the website is used, with our own server hosted statistics system. We process the page views, the origin (previous website), the device and browser type and your IP Address. We use the IP address to determine the approximate location (country, region and city) and internet provider through the external service ip-api.com. We do not build advertising profiles or sell data. If you do not consent, no measurement takes place. See also the Cookie policy.

Purpose of processing

Data will only be used to answer the asked question and possibly to schedule a follow-up appointment. No data will be shared with third parties, and no newsletters or marketing emails will be sent without explicit additional permission.

The IP address is processed for spam protection (rate-limiting) and is no longer actively used after the message has been processed.

Storage period

Messages and appointment requests shall be kept for as long as reasonably necessary for the handling of the request and any follow-up thereof. Submissions shall be immediately deleted upon request.

Visitor statistics are automatically deleted after a maximum of 12 months.

Rights

Under the GDPR, the following personal data rights exist:

  • Right to access the processed data
  • Right to rectification of incorrect data
  • Right to be removed (“forgetfulness”)
  • Right to restriction of processing
  • Right to data portability
  • Right to object to processing

Security

Data is stored on servers within the European Union. Communication is done via encrypted connections (HTTPS). Access to stored data is limited to persons directly involved in the processing of queries.

External services

For the operation of the site, the following external parties may be consulted:

  • Google Fonts (load fonts)
  • Google Site Kit (statistics, only if activated)
  • ip-api.com (Determining approximate location based on IP address, only with accepted visitor statistics)

No analytical cookies or visitor measurements are applied without explicit consent via the cookie banner.

Complaints

If you have questions or complaints about the processing of personal data, please contact Altena Digital first. If we cannot resolve the matter together, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority.

This privacy statement can be modified. Changes will be published on this page. In case of major changes, the date will be updated below.
